How we work
From first call to first shift.
Whether you need one guard for a weekend or year-round cover for a building, a contract with Ridgeline starts the same way.
You send a quote request
Tell us the address, the type of property, the service you have in mind and the hours you need. A rough idea is enough to start.
We look at the property
We visit or go over the site with you: entrances, blind spots, lighting, where materials or stock are kept and what has gone wrong before.
You get a written quote
The quote sets out the service, the hours or the number of patrol visits, and the start date. Nothing is booked until you agree to it.
We write the post orders
Post orders are the guard's instructions for your property: who to let in, which doors to check, who to call and when. You review them before the first shift.
Guards go on post
Licensed guards start on the agreed date, with dispatch behind them day and night. If something changes, tell us and we update the post orders.
Dispatch
Someone answers at any hour.
Our dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Guards on post check in with dispatch, alarms come to dispatch, and so do your calls when something needs attention tonight rather than tomorrow.
On every shift
- A guard holding a valid Ontario security guard licence
- Post orders written for your property
- Check-ins with dispatch through the shift
- A log of rounds, visitors and anything unusual
- An incident report when something happens
- Full insurance behind the guard and the company
Questions
What clients ask us first.
Are all of your guards licensed?
Yes. Every guard we put on a post holds an Ontario security guard licence.
Are you insured?
Yes, Ridgeline Guard Services is fully insured. If your contract or your board needs proof of insurance, ask for it with your quote.
Can you cover nights, weekends and holidays?
Yes. Our dispatch is open 24/7 and we schedule guards and patrols at any hour, including statutory holidays.
What is the difference between a guard and a patrol?
An on-site guard stays at your property for the whole shift. A mobile patrol visits several times through the night and checks the property at each stop. Many sites use a guard during the riskiest hours and patrols the rest of the time.
How much does a guard cost?
It depends on the service, the hours, how long the contract runs and the property itself. Send a quote request with what you know and we'll give you a written price.
Can you start on short notice?
Tell us your start date in the quote request. If it's urgent, say so in the message and we'll tell you straight away what we can do.
Which areas do you cover?
Hamilton, Burlington, Stoney Creek and Ancaster. If your property is just outside these, ask anyway. See areas we cover.
